Artist's Comments
This is something I worked on forever ago (2003?) that I stumbled across while going through my archives.
This was an illustration done by Sam Lotfi for the magazine Anime Invasion, which later turned into Anime Insider. I colored it, and it was a lot of fun to do. It was one of many "versus" things where one series would face off against another. As I am a lifelong Lupin fan and I enjoy Trigun, I was more than happy to color this. As the image has only appeared the once and I think the magazine has stopped publication, I figured I should share it. But all rights reserved to Sam Lotfi and Anime Insider/Invasion where appropriate. The actual published image I had to switch Lupin to his red jacket as that was the series airing on Cartoon Network, but I always felt it clashed with Vash too much and this is my preferred version. I might put the other up later. |
